Broken-out hooves recover with Goodsmith

My 11-year-old Noriker mare could no longer be shod with horseshoes, as her hoof horn material was extremely poor. Her hoof walls were so broken out that no nail would have held anymore. Accordingly, she moved very tender-footed. I managed to bring Harald Blassnig on board for us.

Harald took plenty of time and applied the Good-Smiths to all 4 hooves.

Even with the first Good-Smith application, our Noriker mare experienced relief. She has now been walking with the Good-Smith since June 2023. At the last application, some refinements were made and she was given a laminitis hoof plate. Because, to top it all off, she also came down with laminitis in July.

Our Noriker mare walks perfectly on both hard and soft ground. Absolutely sure-footed, better than with horseshoes. The glue-ons hold very well and the hooves are slowly recovering. We are on a good path (after photos to follow). I am glad I got to know "both" — Harald Blassnig and Good-Smith.
