Why this matters
Good products alone are not enough. Competence in application makes the difference.
Glue-on shoes and hoof boots are less forgiving of mistakes than conventional iron shoeing. Those who know the product in detail make different decisions: which material for which hoof, which modification for which application.
Our data is clear: partners who have completed a workshop have significantly fewer complaints and measurably higher sales.
The workshop provides a protected setting to truly experience glue-on shoes and hoof boots — with an experienced workshop leader, demo hooves for practice, and the final exercise on the horse.
The certificate
Certified specialist for modern hoof protection.
The Goodsmith certificate attests to the demonstrated expertise for the professional application of glue-on horseshoes and/or individually adjustable hoof boots on the horse.
In concrete terms: your certificate does not say "participated" but that you have mastered the proper application.

Your benefits
What changes for you after the workshop.
For professionals in the hoof care trade
The workshop is for everyone who works professionally on the horse's hoof.
Requirement: Proof of business in the hoof care and farriery sector. No further hurdles.
For farriers
The craft is evolving and the best professionals evolve with it. Glue-on horseshoes and hoof boots are no longer a fringe topic: veterinarians recommend them, sport uses them, horse owners ask for them. Anyone who truly masters them has a competence profile that corresponds to the state of the art. The certification workshop gives you the
practice and the judgement for exactly these cases – as an extension of what you already master.
For hoof technicians
You already work with modern materials. The workshop structures your knowledge of glue-on horseshoes and hoof boots, shows you the decision logic behind them and gives you the product expertise you need to work confidently and advise your customers in the best possible way.
For hoof care specialists & trimmers
Hoof care and hoof trimming are professional fields of steadily growing importance. The certification workshop gives you the product expertise for glue-on horseshoes and hoof boots that is part of a modern professional profile – and the proof that documents it.
For hoof orthopaedists
You may have the most differentiated view of the equine hoof. The workshop shows you how glue-on horseshoes and hoof boots fit into your therapeutic considerations, and where the limits of the products lie. Professional conversation at your level.
For veterinarians
As a veterinarian you recommend products
and measures – and you know that well-founded recommendations require your own product knowledge. The certification workshop gives you the
practical experience with individually adjustable glue-on horseshoes and hoof boots,
that you need to concretely advise horse owners and hoof care practitioners: what
these products achieve, what they require and where their limits lie.

Frequently asked questions
I'm a farrier and get along well without glue-on horseshoes. Why should I learn this?
Because you lose horses if you can't do it. Not due to a lack of quality, but because veterinarians, owners and other professionals are increasingly asking for new standards. The certificate gives you the argument you need without calling your core profession into question.
I am not yet a Goodsmith partner – can I still participate?
A business account is required to book the workshops. You can create one here in 2 minutes
How well do I need to be prepared?
No preparation needed. The workshop starts from zero and brings you to a point in one day where you can apply the product confidently. Solid expertise in hoof trimming and movement analysis is required – but as a professional you bring that
with you anyway.
Does the certification still apply if I am no longer an active partner?
The certificate itself remains valid. Your listing on the partner map depends on your account being active. If you no longer wish to be listed, you can change this yourself in your account at any time.
What happens if an appointment doesn't take place?
With fewer than 6 participants, we will cancel at the latest 14 days in advance. You will receive a full refund and a direct invitation to the next available date.
Can I take both formats on the same weekend?
Yes. At selected locations, we offer hoof boot and glue-on horseshoe over a single weekend – Saturday and Sunday, both certifications in one go. You can recognise these dates in the schedule overview
by the label "Kombi".
No mistakes on the first customer horse.
Come to the workshop and approach your first horse prepared.
