From forestry scientist to Goodsmith user — now he shares his knowledge in workshops

We introduce the people whose hands bring our system to the horse. Sascha is a hoof care professional, a long-standing Goodsmith user, and today he passes on his knowledge in workshops. Here he tells his own story of how he came to the hoof.
My path to the hoof
Hi, I'm Sascha. I actually studied forestry science and wood technology — but horses are my passion. With a farm full of horses, it was inevitable that I would start dealing with the topic of hooves. You can thank my wife and our horses that I stuck with it: by now I have glued on shoes for hundreds of horses.
How I work
I have accompanied many horses on their way out of traditional shoeing or difficult hoof situations — first and foremost through good hoof care, and with the glue-on shoe. That is how I was able to give them back their joy of movement and bring them to where they stand today: with a healthy hoof that allows flexibility and shock absorption, is well supplied with blood, and has a healthy frog.
What convinces me about Goodsmith
These are exactly the things that convince me about Goodsmith: the glue-on shoe gives the hoof its flexibility, absorbs shocks and does not restrict it. Something else that matters a lot to me is the collaboration — unlike with other systems, here you are actually heard. What can be done better, what differently, where are the needs? Developing this product further together with colleagues and customers is something I really enjoy.
