Dr. Kerstin Wichelhaus – Use of glue-on shoeing in orthopaedics
Case report from the veterinary practice of Dr. Kerstin Wichelhaus
"The patient "Paul" is a Holsteiner gelding, 17 years old. In addition to several other problems, he has arthrosis in the lateral area of the coffin joint and some in the pastern joint (see X-rays, altered area circled).

Before being fitted with Goodsmith hoof protection, "Paul" could not move soundly either barefoot or with iron shoes (with or without a pad).
For a year now he has been moving reliably with Goodsmith.
The base plate sometimes holds for three trim periods, each period without problems for 7 weeks.
It is a great example of the success with your products!"
About Dr. Kerstin Wichelhaus and her use of the Goodsmith products

"As a vet who offers a lot of rehabilitation care, canker treatment, orthopaedics and physiotherapy for horses, I enthusiastically use almost all the products from the company Goodsmith on a regular basis in all these areas.
I fit hoof boots and I am convinced every time again how well horses move when the hoof boots fit precisely.
Even when it gets more difficult or something does not work straight away, the company Goodsmith is at your side, advises and together a solution is found.
I use the glue-on products in the sport and rehab area just as much as in medical applications. Since I can remove and re-glue the glue-ons as often as I like, even in short intervals, my patients can often start their first movement exercises very quickly. With hoof bandages this would often not yet be possible.
Hoof abscess and canker patients can thus be offered early mobility, which benefits both hoof health and mental
balance." - Veterinarian Kerstin Wichelhaus.
