Surefootedness off-road with the Goodsmith
I am a self-supplier and my 22-year-old purebred Arabian mare lives in a free-running stable with my two other horses. The mare ran endurance rides of up to 100 km until the age of 19.
She has good hooves and always ran on plastic, with hoof boots, or barefoot.
Going barefoot is almost impossible on our ground, and even on my mountain tours we need hoof protection.

I glued my mare on the front as a test. The 120 mm glue-on fitted almost straight out of the box and only required a minimal adjustment, including preparing the plate sides for better welding of the straps. I slightly ground down the heel landing point and the toe area for comfortable "rolling over and landing".
Welding on the straps was very easy and holds rock solid.

Since then the mare goes forward very loose and relaxed. She does not stumble and also has good grip on the ground. The flexibility in the heel area is very good for her, and the lightness of the glue-on seems to be pleasant.
Until now I had been a bit sceptical regarding ground grip and I assumed the material was too smooth, but so far I am thoroughly positively surprised.
Even on rock the horse has a sure step.
Gravel, stones and asphalt are no problem for the glue-on. The wear is so minimal it is not visible.
Also no small stones have crept under the plate, even though I did not install a pad.
The little horse even goes happily forward on gravel and steeply downhill.
Cool gear, your Goodsmith!!!
