Goodsmith with barefoot intervals
Our Icelandic horse (8 years old) has healthy bare hooves and lives in an open stable with an adjacent gravelled track. There are several hay racks and a small water entry along it. He lives here with seven other horses and, due to his age and the conditions, is very active, which is more or less visible on the hooves depending on the season and ground conditions. We work mostly in the riding arena, but also in the surrounding terrain and occasionally on trail courses.

The Goodsmiths were attached to the front hooves and it took no longer than an hour. After what is now the third application, I can say - everything holds wonderfully and the plates seem to be usable for a long time as the wear is comparatively minor so far!
Our Icelandic horse moves more confidently with them over difficult, stony ground, and his slightly croup-high build could also be balanced out!
In the future, the Goodsmiths will be gladly used as an option for difficult barefoot ground conditions; it's uncomplicated and the price-performance ratio is fine! What stood out particularly positively is that the "Goodies" are so nice and light and can be perfectly adapted to the given hoof shape and special health aspects.
We will alternate the gluing with barefoot intervals - Great that this alternative is on the market!
