Goodsmith Self-Application

My horse lives in an active stable. The feeding areas are on paving, so the hoof wear is quite high. My gelding had always been barefoot before, but the hoof was super short within a few weeks and my horse was footsore. First I had him shod, but the horseshoes became too slippery too quickly, and I also didn't like always being dependent on the farrier.
We glue the Goodsmith on ourselves, on my gelding so far only the front. Everything is excellently described by Goodsmith, the handling and adjustment is virtually self-explanatory, and you have the advantage that even if a glue-on shoe gets kicked off, you can immediately reattach it yourself without much effort (with the Repair Kit). The durability of the glue-on shoe is truly exceptional – no horseshoe can compete. Even with our high wear, the plates can be used for two periods.

My gelding walked very footsore before gluing – the gait improved immediately with the Goodsmith. After 1-2 days he walked completely normally again, had more scope when riding and above all doesn't slip on paving anymore.
The Goodsmith is a really good choice – I would now clearly prefer the glue-on shoe over a traditional horseshoe. Even in an active stable with lots of movement, playing, running and various surfaces, it holds great on the hoof and supports the horse optimally.
