My Mare's Feedback Was Clear

Healthier hooves through Klebebeschlag

My Icelandic mare ran barefoot for a long time. In the old stable (paddock trail with exclusively soft surfaces) this was possible without problems. After moving to an active stable (high proportion of paved areas plus a sand paddock) you could practically watch the hooves becoming shorter and shorter. My mare became more and more sensitive and after an incorrect trim by our old farrier, who did not take the new wear situation into account, she only wanted to walk very reluctantly on hard surfaces and was always immediately stilted.

Two fellow stable owners are already absolutely enthusiastic about the Goodsmith, so I also decided to give it a try.

My mare's immediate feedback after the application was clear: she most preferred to set off trotting straight away in the stable aisle, after walking very stiltedly on the concrete floor without Goodsmith one hour earlier.

We initially only fitted the front hooves with the Goodsmith. I had the energetic support of my stable colleague, and after a good hour we had applied the Goodsmith without much difficulty. I think that with each glue-on more routine will be added and the time will then certainly be shortened again. The online video tutorial explained the procedure perfectly, and in addition we were lucky that the 3D-printed ordered size hardly had to be adjusted any more.

My mare walks very contentedly with the Goodsmith. Whether on the arena, in the indoor school, on hard surfaces or off-road – she handles all paths without difficulty or sensitivity.

I am absolutely enthusiastic and would always choose the Goodsmith again! My mare's feedback is also clear. We are total fans. I also love the fact that, for example, you can simply glue a tab back on if something comes loose (which has never happened to us, however). A great system that I can recommend to anyone :-)
