My Mare's Feedback Was Clear

My Icelandic mare went barefoot for a long time. In the old stable (paddock trail with exclusively soft surfaces) this was possible without problems. After the Wechsel in einen Aktivstall (hoher Anteil an gepflasterten Bereichen plus Sandpaddock) konnte man den Hufen quasi dabei zusehen, wie sie nach und nach immer kürzer wurden. Meine Stute wurde immer fühliger und nach einer fehlerhaften Bearbeitung unseres alten Hufschmiedes, der die neue Abriebsituation nicht beachtet hat, wollte sie nur noch sehr ungern auf harten Böden laufen und wurde dabei stets sofort klemmig. 

Two barn mates were already absolutely thrilled with the Goodsmith, so I decided to try it too. 

My mare's immediate feedback after application was clear: she wanted to start trotting right away in the barn aisle after she had been standing for an hournde vorher ohne Goodsmith noch ganz klemmig auf dem Betonboden lief.

We first fitted only the front hooves with Goodsmith. I had great support from my barn mate, and after a good hournde hatten wir die Goodsmith ohne große Probleme angebracht. Ich denke, dass mit jedem Beschlag noch mehr Routine kommen wird und sich die Zeit dann sicher nochmal verkürzt. Die online video instructions explained the procedure perfectly, and we were lucky that the 3D-printed ordered size barely needed any adjustment.

My mare runs very happily with the Goodsmith. Whether in the arena, in the hall, on hard ground or on trails – she masters all paths withoute Schwierigkeiten oder Fühligkeit.

I am absolutely thrilled and would choose Goodsmith again and again! My mare's feedback is clear too. We are absolute fans. Greatse finde ich auch, dass man beispielsweise einfach eine tab can be re-glued, in case something comes loose (which has never happened to us). A great system that I can recommend to everyone :-)
