Freuden Buckler – Treating Laminitis with Goodsmith
My horse had laminitis twice in a row last year. This led to coffin bone rotation. I should mention that these were his first two bouts of laminitis in 14 years – he had never had it before. He walked very poorly to not at all and lay down more than he stood, which is not typical for my horse. So I changed farriers, and he had his hooves trimmed every 4 weeks. Initially he walked really well, then suddenly it went downhill again. Because he didn't want to move, one colic came after another. I have to admit, I had already given up on him.
The laminitis pushed us to our limits – then came Goodsmith
I was at the end of my nerves and couldn't bear to see him suffer anymore. I contacted my farrier and asked what options we still had to get his pain under control. She told me I should try the glue-on shoes from Goodsmith – she had them herself. So I ordered a set without hesitation. As soon as they arrived, we put them on. It took less than 4 days and my horse was walking so beautifully – I hadn't seen him walk like that in a long time. It got better day by day: he was running again, being silly again, doing happy bucks – it was simply wonderful to see that he enjoyed walking again. And yes, since then I always have the shoes at home. At the moment he can walk without them, but I wouldn't want to be without them. I will always have some on hand for emergencies and continue to buy them.
I can only recommend Goodsmith!
