Goodsmith reviews
Klebebeschlag

Finally a suitable solution!

My pony lives in an open stable and is unfortunately very sensitive. Since we spend a lot of time out in the terrain, especially on long trail rides, but horseshoes are not an option for us because the pony lives in an open stable, we started looking for an alternative shoeing solution.

That's how we came across the Goodsmith Klebebeschlag (glue-on shoes) . The glue-on shoes have now been holding for 6 weeks without a single touch-up. My pony moves wonderfully with them; we have many forest roads with lots of gravel, but it's all no problem with the glue-on shoes. I think I'll be able to use the shoes a second time as well, because despite the heavy strain, there's barely any wear visible on the baseplate.

We applied the Goodsmiths on the front hooves, as the horse is very sensitive there. We also wanted to improve the position of the frog and reduce pressure on the hoof, since no strain should occur there. My pony has a long toe due to past laminitis.

My pony walks great with them, even better than with our hoof boots, even on wet grass or large gravel no problem. We also tested the shoes when jumping and on longer rides. For a change, we were also in the indoor arena, and even with deep sand it was no problem to work properly. There was no balling up and no stumbling.

My conclusion is that my pony moves great with them and we finally have a suitable solution. We first roughened the hoof with a rasp and then glued the Klebebeschlag accordingly. I will continue to "shoe" my horse with them.
