A Hufschuh that fits perfectly.

My 15-year-old Thoroughbred needs Hufschuhe for the hindquarters for occasional rides out in the terrain with sandy ground or large stones. Previous hoof boots we have tested from Floating Boots could only be closed and opened with pliers, so they were essentially never used.

Until now the small selection of hoof boots has been problematic, since my horse's hooves are very long/oval.

On the first attempt with the new Hufschuh from Goodsmith, I first calmly fitted the base plate and then step by step put the Hufschuhe together. The assembly is somewhat more elaborate, but the result is convincing across the board. The custom-made boot looks exceptionally high-quality and simply fits perfectly. In addition, putting on and taking off are pleasantly easy. The way of moving is not impaired by occasional wearing and the Hufschuh fulfils its purpose as impact protection against stones in the terrain. Sensitivity on difficult ground is definitely effectively prevented.

A great boot for demanding hooves that do not fit into the standard pattern of common hoof boots.

Another great plus is the possibility of simply swapping the base plate if needed and thus significantly extending the lifespan of the boots.
