Walking more pain-free – thanks to Goodsmith!

I already use Goodsmith on my riding horse and have had very good experiences, especially with regard to the cushioning effect.

With my companion/retirement horse, who suffers severely from spavin, I have therefore now decided to also apply Goodsmith. He goes for walks with us, comes along as a led horse or does health-preserving groundwork. He spends most of the time in the field.

Until now he was barefoot and got hoof boots for going out. The horses stand during the day in the open stable, at night in the box. In the open stable there are paved sections, sand and, when it rains, some muddy parts, otherwise firm ground. For 9 out of 12 months they also have a large meadow available.

Since my concern was the hind legs, I applied the glue-on to all four hooves. He has very regularly well-shaped hooves, but front left a misalignment with an inward-twisted hoof.

Already during the first glue-on application on the hind hooves a clear difference was noticeable. He chewed and could suddenly relax the other hind leg and hold it up for a long time. His relieving posture decreased clearly right after fitting.

He is now more alert out on rides, more attentive and simply more pain-free. As a led horse he now comes along relaxed at a normal pace, at canter I have to be careful that he does not run off from us. Even canter on the lunge is possible again and the play with his pasture friends is more exuberant again.
