138 km field test in the Black Forest for the Goodsmith Klebebeschläge
Five weeks of intensive use
For a good five weeks now my Arabian has been wearing the Goodsmith Klebebeschläge in the Black Forest – and that under demanding conditions. During this time, a two-day endurance ride covering 138 kilometres in total, numerous trail rides and regular terrain training were on the programme.
The ground in this region is challenging: lots of gravel, repeatedly swampy sections and steep climbs that put significant demands on the material.
Adjustments for maximum stability
Especially on steep climbs, rotational forces are generated at the back that act on the shoeing. To better absorb the load, small lifts were built in. This measure has proven extremely effective – all straps held without any problems even under heavy use. For horses that mostly do dressage, perfect durability was evident anyway.
Secure hold on all surfaces
My Arabian likes to walk with the plates – whether on firm ground, in the terrain or on soft paths. Particularly positive: the shoeing is nicely light, which noticeably improves the feeling underfoot.
Growing-with design as an advantage
An interesting detail is the slit in the shoeing, which slowly widens as the hoof grows. On the one hand this prevents the hoof from being constricted, and on the other hand it prevents the straps from being burst by the growing hoof. This flexible design ensures a consistently good fit over the entire wearing time.

Convinced as a hoof care professional
As a hoof care professional, I have tried all the common glue-on systems over the years. I most prefer working with your straps now – they are practical, reliable and can be adjusted individually.
My conclusion
In short: keep it up and many thanks! Your Goodsmith Klebebeschläge passed the endurance test in the Black Forest with flying colours and are a clear recommendation from me for endurance and terrain use.
